EULA AND T'S & C'S

Welcome to SoulTie. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the SoulTie mobile application and services (“the Service”). By creating an account, accessing, or using SoulTie, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

You confirm that you are at least 18 years old and capable of entering a legally binding agreement.

1. Nature of the Service (Important)

SoulTie is a communication and reflection tool designed to help couples better understand disagreements and communicate more effectively.

SoulTie does not provide psychological, psychiatric, medical, legal, or crisis counseling services. Any suggestions generated by the application, including AI-generated responses, are informational only and must not be relied upon as professional advice.

SoulTie is not a therapist, counselor, mediator, or emergency support service.

2. Crisis & Safety Disclaimer

SoulTie is not suitable for situations involving abuse, violence, coercive control, stalking, harassment, or threats.

If you feel unsafe, emotionally distressed, or in danger, you must contact local emergency services or a qualified professional immediately.

SoulTie does not replace professional or emergency intervention and accepts no responsibility for harm resulting from reliance on the Service in crisis situations.

3. Partner Linking and Shared Information

SoulTie allows users to connect accounts with a partner.

By linking accounts, you acknowledge and consent that certain information you submit — including feelings, responses, conversation topics, and reflections — may be shared with your linked partner inside the application.

You are solely responsible for what you choose to share.
SoulTie is not responsible for any relationship consequences arising from shared information.

4. User Responsibility for Conduct

You agree to use the Service respectfully and lawfully. You must not use SoulTie to:

  • threaten or harass another person

  • manipulate, shame, intimidate, or psychologically pressure a partner

  • monitor, track, or surveil another individual

  • collect evidence for disputes, divorces, custody, or legal matters

You are fully responsible for all activity under your account.

5. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

  • impersonate another person

  • create fake partner accounts

  • coerce someone into using the app

  • upload illegal or abusive content

  • attempt to access other users’ data

  • reverse engineer or exploit the software

  • use the Service to control or manipulate another person emotionally

Violation may result in immediate suspension or termination without notice.

6. AI-Generated Content

SoulTie uses automated artificial intelligence systems to generate communication suggestions.

These outputs are computer-generated and may be inaccurate, inappropriate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. SoulTie makes no guarantees regarding correctness, effectiveness, or relationship outcomes.

All decisions and actions taken after using the Service remain entirely your responsibility.

7. No Guarantee of Relationship Outcomes

SoulTie does not guarantee reconciliation, emotional healing, improved communication, or relationship success.

Relationships may improve, remain unchanged, or deteriorate after using the Service. You agree that SoulTie is not liable for any relationship consequences resulting from use of the app.

8. Accounts and Security

You must maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials and are responsible for all activity under your account.

You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. SoulTie is not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized account use.

9. Subscriptions and Payments

SoulTie may offer paid subscriptions that automatically renew unless cancelled.

All billing is processed through Apple App Store or Google Play. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges according to your store account settings.

Pricing may change with notice. Cancellation must be performed through your app store subscription settings.

10. Refund Policy

Payments are processed by Apple or Google. SoulTie does not directly process payments and cannot issue refunds.

Refund requests must be made through the respective app store provider in accordance with their policies.

11. Data Storage and Retention

SoulTie stores user-submitted information, partner interactions, and usage data to provide the Service.

Some data may be processed by third-party providers including hosting, authentication, analytics, and AI processing services.

We retain data only as necessary to operate and improve the Service.

12. Third-Party Services

SoulTie relies on external infrastructure providers to operate the application. By using the Service, you consent to data processing by these providers.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no service can guarantee absolute security.

13. User Content Ownership

You retain ownership of content you submit.

However, you grant SoulTie a non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content solely for operating and improving the Service.

SoulTie does not sell private relationship messages.

14. Intellectual Property

The SoulTie application, branding, design, AI systems, algorithms, and content are protected intellectual property.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts at any time for violation of these Terms, misuse of the Service, or harmful behavior toward other users.

You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoulTie is not liable for emotional distress, relationship breakdowns, misunderstandings, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.

17. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights available under Australian Consumer Law. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to resupply of the service where permitted by law.

18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SoulTie and its operators from claims, disputes, damages, or legal actions arising from your use of the Service or interactions with another user.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Victoria.

20. Changes to the Service

We may modify or discontinue features at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
